There is a difference between being an acquaintance and being a friend. An acquaintance is someone whose name you know, who you see every now and then, who you probably have something in common with and who you feel comfortable around.
It's a person that you can invite to your home and share things with. But they are people who you don't share your life with, whose actions sometimes you don't understand because you don't know enough about them.
On the other hand, a friend is someone you love. Not that you are "in love" with them, but you care about them and you think about them when they are not there. The people you are reminded of when you see something they might like, and you know this because you know them so well. They are the people whose pictures you have and whose faces are in your head regardless.
Friends are the people you feel safe around because you know they care about you. They call just to see how you are doing, because a friend doesn't need an excuse. They tell you the truth, the first time, and you do the same. You know that if you have a problem, they are there to listen.
Friends are the people who won't laugh at you or hurt you, and if they do hurt you they try hard to make it up to you. They are the people you love, regardless of whether you realize it.
Friends are the people you cried with when you got rejected from colleges and during the last song at the prom and at graduation. They are the people that when you hug them, you don't think about how long to hug and who's going to be the first one to let go.
Maybe they are the people that hold the rings at your wedding, or maybe they are the people who give you away at your wedding, or maybe they are the people you marry. Maybe they are the people who cry at your wedding because they are happy or because they are proud.
They are the people who stop you from making mistakes and help you when you do. They are are the people whose hand you can hold, or you can hug or give them a kiss and not have it be awkward because they understand the things you do and they love you for them.
They stick with you and stand by you. They hold your hand. They watch you live and you watch them live and you learn from them. Your life is not the same without them.
Last night was Nelson's birthday and was celebrated at mansion. Photos in Hong Yi's blog for I'm lazy to update. *Laughs*. Went prawning in the afternoon and head off to his celebration thereafter. Anyway, I'm booking in tonight preparing for my next jump somewhere next week I think. Some photos of the prawns coming right up. Caught around 25 prawns during the 3 hour stay.
I don't know why whenever my friends talk about you, see something that translates to you or whatever, my heart seems to drop. Somehow, I still think about you every now and then. Well, thats about it. I hope.
Truthfully, I'm scared of jumping out of the aircraft at 1000ft. I feel so useless. I'm afraid of heights. This I confess. So I guess, the price of being an elite, is to conquer all your fear. I hope I do. I don't want to let those that believed and trusted in me down.
I'm seriously, for the first time, don't want to book in to camp.

Well, what have I to say? Hmm.. sometimes life does not goes the way you want it, it's up to you to choose the path you really want, even if it means losing everything. I heard this from my friend, " No matter how hard life can be, it can't be any worst because at least you are still breathing. And to breath means you still can choose the way you really want your life to be." True true. But frankly speaking, not much people is prepared to lose everything for they fear/ They are afraid to hurt themself. To counter that lets just use three words, " Courage Dispels Fear." You guys get what I mean?
"One thousand, Two thousand , Three thousand.... Check!! Front, Over right, Over left, Under left, Under right, In between. Good Para Position!!" This is what I have been doing for the pass one week, preparation for my first official jump out of a perfectly good aircraft. Been training to break fall every single day, every minute to ensure that I'll be fine after my jump. It's not going to be easy, but others have done it before and I'm going to do it. The common brotherhood of the Red Berets is derived by the experience of parachuting. No Commando wears the Red Beret without having previously earned the parachutist wings. The Commando Airborne Course entails a total of five parachute descents. Three of these will be executed in daylight, whilst two are executed in darkness. Commando students are required to jump with combat equipment from the fourth jump onwards to earn the converted red backing. But being able to meet up with my previous course mates was a bonus in this course that I'm undertaking.

I volunteered to do it knowing well the hazards of my choice.
I am an elite trooper, a sky trooper, a shock trooper, an elite trooper.

I never find a fellow trooper I cherish as a sacred trust the lives of the men with whom I serve. Leaders have my fullest loyalty, and those I lead never find me lacking.
I have pride in the Airborne.
I never let it down.
In peace I do not shirk the dullest duty nor protest the toughest training.
In battle I fear no foe's ability nor under-estimate his prowess, power and guile.
I fight him with all my might and skill-ever alert to evade capture or escape a trap.
I never surrender though I may be the last.
I belong to a proud and glorious team......
